Adjunct Professor (part-time) in Chinese, University of San Francisco
The Department of Modern and Classical Languages at the University of San Francisco invites applications for two part-time positions of Adjunct Professor of Chinese, beginning August 25, 2008. These are one-year renewable appointments. Primary responsibilities include Chinese language teaching at various levels and curriculum development. The teaching load is two courses per semester. Salary is competitive.
Requirements include MA in Chinese language teaching, applied linguistics, foreign language pedagogy, or other relevant fields, native or near-native proficiency in Chinese and English, demonstrated excellence in teaching all levels of Chinese, preferably at the college level in the U.S., and commitment to language teaching and curriculum innovation.
